For those of you with a few spare hundred million Euros (or rather more depending on whom you speak to) who have always wanted to own a First Growth Bordeaux Chateau now is your chance.
In addition to 78 hectares of prime Bordeaux vineyards, the property also boasts some seriously shiny stainless steel fermentation vats,
an extremely smart barrel cellar,
and some pretty impressive grounds including a 17th Century dovecote.
The commercial intricacies behind the sale were covered in the Times last week. There is talk of Bernard Magrez of Chateau Pape Clement fame being interested . Both he and Chateau Latour have so far declined to comment.
