Huge congratulations to our former wine buyer, Robin Kick on being awarded her Master of Wine. It is a truly Herculean achievement, the percentage of those who make it past the final hurdle is in single digits. So major kudos to Robin.
Originally from Chicago, Robin now works for fine wine trader, ARVI SA, in Lugano, Switzerland. Before joining Goedhuis she had studied at the Université du Vin in Suze-la-Rousse, France, had entered the wine trade in 1999 and worked for Christie’s auction house in California.
In addition to a vast knowledge of the classic Goedhuis stomping grounds of Burgundy and Bordeaux she had a knack for finding relatively unusual (for us!) but brilliant new producers, including Giuseppe Russo in Sicily, the Quenard brothers in Savoie and Hanzell in Sonoma Valley.
Our warmest congratulations also to Anne Krebiehl, Natasha Hughes and the other new Masters of Wine.
