Glenmorangie 18 Year Old | A single malt of distinction

Archive

The name Glenmorangie comes from the Scots Gaelic which means ‘valley of tranquillity’, a perfect description of the peaceful setting near Tain, its home in the Highlands.

The name resonates with whisky lovers globally and we are delighted to offer the extremely rare 18-Year-Old. This esteemed single malt Scotch whisky carries enormous distinction, picking up numerous awards for its excellence year after year.

To create this masterpiece, it spends fifteen years maturing in American white oak casks, after which approximately 30% is transferred into Spanish Oloroso casks to spend a further three years maturing. Then, when both elements have reached 18 years, they are blended back together to create a whisky with a rich bouquet of floral notes and full, rounded flavour showing the sweet raisin flavours from the sherry barrel and finishing on the nuttiness of the American oak.

With global demand for great single malt whiskies showing no signs of abating, picking up this rare malt which is individually packed in a beautiful presentation case would be the perfect treat for Christmas. We are exceptionally pleased to offer a limited quantity of this 18 year old masterpiece, duty-paid.

Aroma: Rich, rounded and sweet with dried fruits and nuts. Hints of crème brulée, golden honeycomb and dates flow into a lifted complex floral fragrance with hints of grapefruit and orange.

Taste: Glenmorangie 18 Years Old slips like silk over the tongue with a full, rounded flavour, starting with grapefruit & orange. The palate commences with an accord of melting honey, creamy malt and aromatic florals that segue into the warm, syrupy nuttiness of hazelnuts and walnuts from the Oloroso sherry casks in which the whisky is matured. Savour the rich, sticky date and fig flavours heightened by the embrace of toasty oak.

Finish: The finish is long and enticing with the sweetness of dried fruit and subtle dryness of Oloroso nuttiness.
