It's Not Easy Being Green…

Archive

…But it is easy to enjoy a fruity, fresh red in the hot hot summer. New to us this year, Guimaro Ribeira Sacra 2010, receives some recognition from Terry Kirby in the Independent on Sunday. At £10.08 (cheaper than the wine society!) a bottle, it is affordable and really very good. Terry recommends you team it with tuna steaks in balsamic jus or pork escalopes and I think it will be delicious with barbeques, summer salads- thinking beetroot and goat’s cheese, walnuts and asparagus… The Guimaro hasn’t been oaked so the red fruit and spice show cleanly making it a refereshing year-round red.
