  • IN BOND prices exclude UK Duty and VAT. Wines can be purchased In Bond for storage in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse, or for export to non-EU countries. Duty and VAT must be paid before delivery can take place.

  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

    From a parcel just beneath Grands Echezeaux, this is an excellent plot within the large Clos de Vougeot. A deep purple colour, it has an expressive nose. The fruit is dense and concentrated, with a tense line of acidity on the palate.

    Saturated dark red with ruby highlights. Slightly medicinal, very reticent nose hints at black cherry, licorice and earth. Very rich, seamless and sweet, conveying an almost a chocolatey quality to its dark cherry, licorice and spice flavors. Finishes rich and long, with serious but sweet building tannins. This wine, too, has close to 14% alcohol.

Furthermore, they are not afraid to experiment, and are always evolving the viticulture and winemaking style with small innovations. The estate has eschewed the fashion of using new oak barrels to age the wines, preferring seasoned casks which act as an “elevage” vessel rather than imparting barrel flavours. Clos de Vougeot

Clos de Vougeot is a Grand Cru appellation situated in the heart of the Cote de Nuits producing only red wines from the Pinot Noir grape. The vines are enclosed within a single walled vineyard built by monks in the 12th and 14th Centuries. With 47.54 hectares under vine Clos de Vougeot is the largest Grand Cru vineyard in the Cote d'Or.
