Ch Canon and Ch Rauzan Segla have released this afternoon. Both owned by Chanel, they encapsulate the style, elegance, and finesse of the brand itself.
Both of these stunning wines are highly recommended by us, as their release prices are compelling. Chanel has put a huge amount of investment into these Chateaux over the years, and both are now beginning to pay off handsomely. The quality in both is outstanding, as both Tim Atkin and Neal Martin sum up:
Ch Rauzan Segla – This Chanel-owned property has produced a suitably stylish wine in 2014, but one that doesn’t sell at haute couture prices. In fact, it should be among the bargains of the vintage. 95 points. Tim Atkin.
Ch Canon – This is outstanding for the vintage – a sublime Château Canon that might dare rank alongside the 2009 and 2010. 93/95 points. Neal Martin.
The release price of £375 IB for this calibre of wine, hand in hand with this sort of quality, makes it a superb buy in our opinion.
