Sena-Chile

Seña is the brainchild and vision of two of the wine industry’s most iconic figures. In 1995 Eduardo Chadwick of Vina Errazuriz pioneered a joint venture with the Napa Valley’s greatest luminary Robert Mondavi to create a wine that reflected the ideal terroir of Chile’s Valle de Aconcagua. Sena was catapulted to prominence in 2004 at a tasting in Berlin where six French, six Chilean and four Italian wines from the 2000 and 2001 vintages were tasted side by side by thirty six of the world’s most highly regarded journalists. The Seña 2001 came second ahead of Chateau Lafite 2000, Chateau Margaux 2000 & 2001 and Chateau Latour 2001. Consequently a southern hemisphere star was born.

Following James Suckling’s recent visit to Chile, during which he tasted more than 500 wines, the influential wine critic awarded the new Seña 2013 release an astounding 99/100.
