Although not a great deal has been written about the 2013 vintage so far, what has been written has been principally negative. We were determined to keep an open mind
Ch Pontet Canet’s proprietor, Alfred Tesseron, is very much a leader amongst the Cru Classe estates but he certainly took us all by surprise
Whilst I wouldn’t necessarily call myself an avid reader I have been totally gripped by Henry Cecil’s biography “Trainer of Genius”.
Day 2 started fantastically with two outstanding tastings at Clusel-Roch and Domaine Rostaing highlighting the wonderful purity of fruit in the 2012 vintage supported by finesse and freshness.
