I wanted to share the exciting news that we have won Decanter Magazine’s Burgundy Specialist Retailer of the Year award for the third year in a row!
We strive to spread the word about this fantastic region by having a list with depth and range across all the major appellations of the region. We also put on top-end Burgundy tastings and dinners, and try to ensure our en primeur campaigns are engaging and informative. BUT, we never thought we could win a hat-trick in this toughest of categories at the country’s most respected wine retailer awards.
It was a huge surprise when we were announced as winners at Wednesday’s ceremony at The Connaught, and we are all extraordinarily delighted with the accolade. We are particularly proud as we are the only merchant to have won three awards in a row in the same specialist category.
Head judge Peter Richards MW commented that we have “an infectious enthusiasm for the region and impeccable customer service, as well as an exemplary list and events programme.”
We are incredibly fortunate to enjoy wonderful relationships with many of the greatest Burgundian producers and all this is only possible thanks to their extraordinary work.
