There has been considerable hype surrounding the 2015 vintage in Italy, and we are delighted to offer one of Tuscany’s leading estates – Tua Rita, and their renowned Redigaffi and Giusto di Notri.
“I loved the wines from this vintage and have awarded some of my highest scores ever for Coastal Tuscany.” Monica Larner, Wine Advocate
The excellence of the 2015 Giusto di Notri can be in no doubt; it has already been awarded 96-97 by James Suckling who is calling it the best Giusto di Notri ever. This bodes extremely well for the rest of the range, and we expect more top scores in the coming months.
These Super Tuscans are stylistically distinct, and utterly captivating. Bordeaux lovers will be enchanted by the familiar elegance, minerality and flavour profile of great claret, while enjoying the lusher fruit, stronger aromatic herb notes and riper tannins from the warmer Tuscan sun.
The Giusto di Notri is Left-Bank in style, delineated and precise. Redigaffi is richer and more Right-Bank in style. Robert Parker, the Bordeaux-critic, put it best: “Tua Rita is one of Tuscany’s leading properties… Simply put, the wines are not to be missed!”
Due to the success of the 2015 vintage, these wines will undoubtedly be some of the most sought-after wines this year. Quantities are limited and the wines are offered subject to confirmation and on a first come first served basis. Available for delivery in January 2018.

“Tua Rita’s Redigaffi is one of Italy’s best Merlots.” James Suckling
Redigaffi is 100% Merlot and ranks alongside the great Masseto from Ornellaia, and wouldn’t look out of place alongside certain vintages of the great Château Petrus in Pomerol. The wine possesses extraordinary levels of elegance, complexity and finesse. Given the strict quality control, there is very little produced, only 600-750 cases. It first burst onto the scene when Parker awarded the 2000 the perfect 100 points. Since then, word has got out and this 100% Merlot Tuscan beauty has become more desirable with each new release.
No critics have rated the 2015 as yet, however from the reviews and comments surrounding the vintage we are expecting great things. Since 2006 no Redigaffi has been awarded less than 94 points.
This brilliant release from Tua Rita is, quite simply, an enormous achievement. Redigaffi is the undisputed signature wine of Tua Rita, hailing from a small plot of meticulously selected Merlot which was first planted in 1994 and is aged in small oak barrels for 18 months. Redigaffi 2015 has a remarkable perfume. It strikes the senses with a hedonistic array of spice, liquorice and damson. There are layers of wood-smoke, floral hints, mocha, dark cherry and chocolate. Round, full and pure to the extreme, it is so opulent. It will need plenty of time to reach its apogee, and what a treat that promises to be. Drink 2020 -2030. Goedhuis & Co
Giusto di Notri 2015
£196.00 per 6 bottles IB
£79.00 per single magnum IB (very limited)
This wine is a beautiful Bordeaux blend, it resonates with everything we love in a Left-Bank claret, but with a Tuscan attitude. The blend is around 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc, with only 2500 cases produced. The cooling influence of the sea is instrumental in giving this wine a refined, elegant and mineral style. There is serious depth and appeal here, it really is a sensational buy.
Best Giusto di Notri ever? Full body, ripe and powerful tannins, as well as beautiful fruit. Chewy yet polished tannins and a lingering finish. 96-97 points, James Suckling
This deeply intense and juicy Giusto displays all-encompassing layers of dark blackberry and exotic spices. There is gentle smokiness to the wine supported by a hint of white pepper. The texture is magnificently plump, with ripe, suave tannins and a thickset, firm structure that indicates a long future ahead. The core of sweetness which marks Giusto out every year as a beautifully expressive wine, is out in force once again. This is unmistakable Tuscan Cabernet in a record vintage. Drink 2018-2024. B
