A couple of wines in Decanter

Archive

Two of our favourite wines were featured in the latest issue of Decanter magazine. Here are the tasting notes:

Bianca Vigna, Prosecco di Valdobbiadene NV £10.77 per bottle inc VAT
Round and fresh, this delicate fizz that, on the nose at least, is not as overtly peachy as some Proseccos, but instead floral and summery. There is more ripe stone fruit character on the palate, which is similarly fresh and fragrant. A crisp, breezy, refreshing, good-value sparkler. 15.5/20.

Stephane Aladame, Selection Vieilles Vignes, Montagny 1er Cru 2008 £14.59 per bottle inc VAT
A crisp, brisk Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay. Melon and lemon rind lead the way on the nose, with mealy undertones. That lees work adds roundness and texture to the palate, which is clean, cool, balannced and elegant, with more citrus fruit, apple and pineapple. Graceful. 15.5/20.
