
The Italian tasting on Wednesday eve (23rd March) went down a storm- with over 30 wines from 11 producers in Tuscany, Sicily and Piedmont, spread over 3 floors of Manicomio’s stunning Norman Foster designed building with a wonderful array of region-inspired food to match by Head Chef, Tom Salt.

Luca Cuzziol poured his faboulous Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry Conegliano Valdobbiadene (£71.68/6 pk DP) on entry and also brought some of his cloud-like delicious Pannetone (330g butter per slice he proudly exclaimed to each guest; didn’t stop me), which I hovered around with a glass of Ambra’s Vin Santo di Carmignano 2004 (£105.00/cs IB):
